Create your automation
Pick an Instagram post and a keyword, then write the DM and link you want to send.
Instagram follow-to-unlock DM
Make the link a reward for following. Replier confirms the follow through Instagram before it sends your DM.
Turn on Follow Gate in your automation. When someone comments your keyword, Replier asks them to follow, confirms the follow through Instagram, then sends your saved DM and link.
Set it up in three steps
Turn on Follow Gate
In the message editor, turn on Ask them to follow first, then set the follow message, profile button, and confirmation button.
Preview, turn on, and test
Check the Preview, select Turn on automation, then comment from another account to test it.
How the follow check works
Follow Gate is not an honor-system checkbox. When the person taps the confirmation button, Replier asks Instagram whether they follow your account and only sends the DM once Instagram confirms it. Some tools just ask people to tap “I followed” on trust; Replier checks the real follow status first. Instagram can take a moment to reflect a new follow, so a non-follower gets your reminder message and can check again. Follow Gate also covers Instagram story replies, not just post comments.
What the person receives
They comment
Their comment matches your keyword. A post comment can also get your saved public reply.
They are asked to follow
Replier sends a message with a button that opens your profile and a confirmation button.
They follow and confirm
They follow your account, then tap the confirmation button in the same conversation.
The link arrives
Once Instagram confirms the follow, Replier sends your saved DM and link. If it is not confirmed, they get your reminder and can try again.
Add an opening message and email capture
Follow Gate can run with an opening message and email collection. With all of them on, the order is opening message, follow check, email, then your saved DM. Each of these is included on every plan. Follow Gate is Instagram-only; Facebook targets can share the automation but send the DM without a follow check.
